I'd have to hear what he has to say. 10-1 he's now content to look on high from his ivory tower and would do or say nothing to jeopardize his hard-won status given to him be institutions like ones he has previous sacked.
I wonder if he is an intellectual hardass or if he is teaching a philosophy of equity, or, more importantly, if he is projecting one. |

Halfman, he has done a lot of work on educational reform. He often talks about replacing huge schools with smaller ones that are focused on the students instead of on the administrative advantages. |

There has to be a line where an administrator says no. He can go to the media, he can get a permit and preach his garbage in the park and no one will stop him, but people don't have to come either if they don't want to. But many times when schools have these speakers come in, it is mandatory that a student go listen that is why my first post said, my child would not be in school the day he was there if i had a child at that school ![]() So please don't go trying to miscontrue what I have said yet again

His scandalous past is a debate in and of itself, but to try and deny/mitigate what the man has done in/for the world of education is wrong. |

Actually no, I wouldn't feel differently. That is the point of the principle behind free speech...there is no NEED to have a law that protects popular because nobody will try to suppress it in the first place. It is the controversial, unpopular views that require the protection of the state so that those people also may be heard.

How's that working out? I mean, are the kids getting a better education based upon Mr. Ayers' 'theories'?
