Stillman Valley Wrestler benefit

As many of you are aware, Stillman Valley's Barry Glaudel (State Qualifer at 171) was seriously injured in an automobile accident. He is in extensive rehab now and medical bills are pouring in. The Glaudel family has been involved with wrestling in the Northern Illinois area for years and are considered a member of our great wrestling family.

A golf tournament benefit has been organized to help raise money to offset some of the mounting medical bills. Here is some Information about this tournament.

Keep Barry Jr. in your prayers as he takes the long road back to recovery!

On Sunday, March 22nd, two SVHS wrestlers (and former members of Stillman Valley Wrestling Club), Barry Glaudel and Jake Hicks were involved in a rollover accident along with two other students. Jake fortunately was able to walk away and the other two students were taken by ambulance but are in good condition. Barry was not as fortunate. Barry was ejected from the vehicle and was airlifted to Rockford Memorial Hospital, where he underwent neurological surgery to remove shards of vertebra from his spinal cord, and to correct additional vertebra that were broken. Although we are grateful that he survived the accident, his prognosis is somewhat disheartening. Barry currently has no feeling in his legs and doctors have stated that he probably will not walk again.
