I received the following email from our son's head coach Jeff Eckdhal and felt compelled to share it with you.

BLOOD DRIVE / BONE MARROW DRIVE

MATT RHEINTGEN

Matt is 14 years old and an 8th grader at Herrick Middle School. Matt has AML Leukemia. Matt has been battling this disease since September 2008. Matt is need of a bone marrow transplant.

We have set up a drive in the hope of finding a donor.

SATURDAY, JUNE 6th

8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

HERRICK MIDDLE SCHOOL
4435 MIDDAUGH AVE.
DOWNERS GROVE 60516

LifeSource is funding the drive; however there will be a $25 fee for the bone marrow screening.

Please come and be tested and be sure to spread the word… Matt needs our help!

There aren't many opportunities in life for a regular guy to be a HERO, to save a child's life.

A young wrestler needs your help, This is your chance!

I talked about this with a friend and he asked, "what wouldn't you do to save a child's life?" I thought how helpless the family must feel after learning there were no matches and about how I would feel if someone else stepped up to save the life of one of our children.

I'll be there to donate with my friend, we hope to see many of you there! Maybe you could even bring a friend.
