What happened to Poeta & Futrell?

Why didn't either of them compete at the trails?

Probably didn't want to. The college season is extra long and then add in training for WTT and you are talking 9-10 months straight.

Poeta had stated his goal was to make the world team. I'm hoping there wasn't an injury.

Poeta went out of his way to qualify for the trials by winning the NP, so he didn't need a break... I heard yesterday that he hurt his thumb in his last practice prior to the trials. Not sure about futtrell tho.

Thanks for the info. More details would be appreciated. I guess I'll find out soon enough from the gang going down to Champaign for the golf outing.

I know I am bias, but I really thought Mike had a legitimate shot at winning the spot. I'm really looking forward to seeing him get some international competition under his belt.
