If you follow the history of money, you will see that all the paper money ends up the same way. Worthless. That is because the politicians always do the same thing. Print more of it for themselves to the point of destroying it. It is interesting to note that the basket of currencies the BRIC countries are talking about to replace the dollar as a reserve currency has a lot of gold in it.

I think in the near future, you will have either worthless paper called the dollar or you will have gold and silver.

So I have a lot of silver and gold and the dollar is worthless. Someone comes to steal it and I shoot them because I've loaded up on ammo and guns. Chaos is everywhere so I stay home and eat all of my hoarded food.

Is that it?

I'm just sayin....if things get that out of hand......silver and gold will prove to be worthless also.....

The government satellites are listening to you thoughts, so wear tin foil on your head. Cats will be living with dogs, and apples will be cross-bread with oranges.

Don't forget, zombie hoards will try to eat your brains, so have a backup weapon for close combat. Personally, I prefer the chainsaw. Despite its weight, it can take out multiple zombies at once. You will need a weapon that can take out the head with one swing, so baseball bats and hacksaws are out. It would also help to have a young couple who are hopelessly in love. That way, if your shelter is overrun by the zombie hoard, you can push one in, and the other will go mad and follow, leaving you with plenty of time to secure better shelter.
