I am a fan of Minooka and go to quite a few matches. I am looking forward to seeing them against Glenbard North, Lockport, Mt. Carmel, Libertyville, Providence, and of course the conference rival Plainfield Central.
Edit: I forgot about the Minooka duals where Edwardsville and O'Fallon came up last year. The Edwardsville dual shoul be a good one and I enjoy watching Surber for O'Fallon.

Obviously the so-called "Holy Wars" which feature Mt Carmel, Marist and Montini, and Providence, St Rita, etc. Then you have the "Secular Seige" with OPRF, GBN, WA, and Neuqua Valley. OPRF also will be hosting Mt Carmel, and their Quad with St Rita, Wheaton North, and Libertyville. PLUS the Plainfield Central, Lockport, Neuqua Valley, etc duals, and of course the "Ruettiger Cup". For early season, I really like the Fuetz Classic at Conant (tournament) because you get 3a powers OPRF, Providence, and GBN, PLUS 2a power CLC, a good central state team in Ottawa, and downstate team with Bloomington.

Conant may be interesting this year with most of the powerhouses having their line ups be a lot different due to football playoffs, but the lower weights are always a blast to watch at this tournament.

Our school will only have JV this season(Metea Valley), but we have a pretty stong set of duals.... Some of the wrestlers will participate in Regionals.

Plainfield Central, Yorkville, Lake Park, Nequa & GBN are our top 5 this season.

I've been interested in how your team would shape up this year. We drive by the HS two or three times a week, it looks nice. We are scheduled to participate in your Freshman Invitational January. What teams are scheduled? Best of luck in your first season.

Good luck this year. I expect great success from Metea Valley in the future. great facilities, some great coaches already and a strong foundation of good kids.

All the sophmores broke away from Wabaunsie Valley. The School is just South of Butterfield Road on Eola Road. It is a district 204 school. They appear to have a pretty group of freshman and we have a few sophmores with some jv and varsity experience from last season. It will take some time, but they will do well over time I think. Great coaches.
