What is the scoop on M-S this season? Does anyone know what their schedule looks like this year? I know they are still dominant, but i just hadn't heard anything about them lately.

they did lose a few dominant wrestlers. Arent they at the pontiac tourney ? we should see something soon.

This is a post I saw on AA board from "lateraldrop" that helps out a lot


They graduated 7 seniors and will be without two other starters from last years team. Combined record of these 9 guys is something like 286-74! Thats an ave. record of 32-8 for those nine. Anyway, they have only two returning sectional qualifiers from last years team and a move-in alternate sectional qualifier from Rantoul(regional 4th place). They have some decent freshman coming in this year but not nearly enough to make up for the huge holes they have to fill. I'd say they might be over-ranked not under-ranked.

So do you still think they are going to be Dominant?

mahomet is doing some major restructuring. they are very young and inexperienced. its looking like rebuilding instead of reloading this year. five potential starters not on the team this year for various reasons.

Sorry to hear that hoopdawg...im sure they will bounce back soon...

Don't feel sorry for MS, They are always solid. They have a great program and even in a rebuilding year, Ledin will put good kids on the mat.

Agree... Mahomet is a wrestling factory not a typical central team. They will be just fine IMO. Hard to feel sorry for the #13 ranked team in the state.
