And well, you talk about many nationally ranked guys, but All of the guys I mentioned in 3a are ranked by intermat except Luke Smith, who as you know beat Chris Dardanes (ranked 13th) last year 10-3, and also Robertson was ranked in the first set. |

And they led Illinois to the double - double at Fargo in Freestyle and Greco... I am not saying the 2011 class is not good but the benchmark of the last decade is the 2005 and 2006 classes...they put Illinois in the top 5 nationally.... Last edited by MR TWISTER; 12-31-2009 at 12:53 AM. |

Exactley...they are just starting to write their story...that 2006 class started in 2002...but I do think the 2011 class is potentially better than 2010...but for now the Dardanes are carrying the flag for 2010...lets see evryone at state and nationals and then evaluate....

This year's Freshman class (2013) ain't bad...a lot of the best are in upper weights so you won't hear about them this year but look for:
Holler - Sandburg Kennedy - Grant Whitford - Marmion Murphy - GBN Culton - Sycamore Robertson - Mt. Carmel Ellingwood - Plainfield Central Jackson Bros. - Brother Rice Most of this class wrestles above 112 so you won't see much of them this year but I'd be interested to so how this class ends up as Seniors. Next year's class led by Brill and Cortez should be pretty good too. |
