Newbie to IHSA Tournament

Every year I talk about taking my boys to the IHSA tournament, and every year I find some excuse not to go. Well - this is the year. Lots of Crystal Lake boys participating.

Is it possible to just show up, buy tickets, and walk in? Or am I already behind the 8-ball without any tickets?

Any guidance is appreciated.

You can just show up. The ticket office right at Assembly Hall has tickets. They may have reserved still available, but they'll certainly have general admission available. Be ready for a great time. It really is quite an event!

I took my son when he was in 8th grade. He didn't even like wrestling ( "to gay") and didn't want to go. He played his Gameboy until I took it away. Fast forward 4 years, and I get the privilege of watching him wrestle there for the 2nd year in a row!!!!

Have fun.

You will be fine. You can buy tickets at the box office, however the prime seating may already by taken. However, you will be able to see the wrestling anywhere in the place, so no worries.

Parking is $5 and good for the day.

You can also call the box office (217-333-5000) and purchase tickets over the phone and pick up at the box office.

Just throw them into the car and go! You won't be disappointed.

My boy is the beast they call David Vinton, 215# from Prairie Ridge. And I'm down here in Champaign now. I told them not to start until you get here!
