Wrestling on TV
Here's a list of some upcoming events in our area:
Midlands Tournament Championships 23JAN05 - 12:00 p.m. - CSNCH (Comcast Sports Net Chicago) Iowa at Northern Iowa 23JAN05 - 4:00 p.m. - WYIN Midlands Tournament Championships 25JAN05 - 7:00 p.m. - CSNCH (Comcast Sports Net Chicago) Eastern Illinois at Northwestern 28JAN05 - 7:00 p.m. - CSNCH (Comcast Sports Net Chicago) 30JAN05 - 3:00 p.m. - CSNCH (Comcast Sports Net Chicago) Minnesota at Iowa State 30JAN05 - 4:00 p.m. - WYIN I just happened on the Iowa vs. Iowa State match this past weekend after a friend called and told me it was on. I think it's pretty cool that some of these smaller sports channels (Comcast) and even a PBS channel are picking up on just how cool our sport is. I cannot wait for Big Guy to air the IHSA state finals (will he do IKWF again? Someone should mention to him airing the dual team state finals), catching the NCAAs and then to see Real Pro Wrestling kick their season off. Now if we could just see more IHSA dual meets, that would be amazing. Things look to be turning around for the sport, folks!

Bump and don't forget that if you have a satelite and subscribe to College Sports Television, you can see a whole boatload of matches. Their site for matches/events that will be broadcast is: http://cstv.collegesports.com/tvsche...eSel=WRESTLING. I think you can go online and subscribe for a monthly fee to download the matches, too, but I'm not sure. With U of I being #2 in the country and going to National Duals this weekend, it could be awesome to see them dual against OK State.
