Overview of Clinic

The purpose of this clinic is to teach young wrestlers at an early age some proper collegiate training as well as solid technique for all ages. The Clinic will feature moves that have been used to help the Central Michigan Chippewas remain a top 15 Division I NCAA power house for the past five years. Camcorders are encouraged; there will be a lot of technique shown and it would be beneficial for some of the campers if they recorded the technique with a camcorder or notepad.

Clinic Schedule

SESSION 1

10:00 a.m.- A collegiate style warm up
10:20- 5 quick stretches
10:30- Snap down into a front head lock. Multiple finishes from the front head lock position.
11:30- Open the floor for any questions by either wrestler or coaches.
11:45- 20 second live goes from the front head lock position

SESSION 2

3:00 p.m.- Colligate style warm up
3:20- 5 good stretches
3:30- Quick overview of front head locks
3:45- Single leg takedowns. Set up, finishes from your feet and from the mat
4:30- Open it up for questions.
4:45- 20 second live goes from the single leg position.
