Well they have a right too but should they ? NO Absoultely NOT, because some will say this will incite people to become Islamophobe: An individual that fears being killed by a human bomb of the same sex.

I think a more interesting question would be why do we even worry about the burning of the Koran when we wouldn't even give a second thought to people burning the Bible or the Flag.

I am sure the federal government will step in and prevent it.

For me, I have never seen any footage or pictures of the bible being burnt. I am sure it has happened, but I have never seen it. The flag, I hate it, and I want to punch anyone in the face who does it. The reason though I am making a stink about this is since the whole thing of the Qur'an in the toilet, wasn' that a pretty violent period in Afghanistan and Iraq? Also I am ne for uniting the religions. This war is not against the Islamic people, just the radicals that I considferthe Christian equivilant to Hitler. There by don't commit an act against all of Islam. Also I have some friends who are Muslim who are here from Lybia, and United Arab Emerites (there rae others, but I don't know them). I do not want for them to go back remembering this.

The federal government cannot do a thing due to first amendment (gotta love some of the stuff that happend under its name). However I hope the local government stops it due to the lack of a bonfire permit.

That hasnt stop the government with healthcare being unconstitional, or suing Arizona. If they want to stop it they will find away to justify it.

Just tell your friends that all of the main stream christian priest, Rabbi's and ministers have comeout against this lone pastor condemming this behavior. Moderate Muslims could learn from these Clergy about standing up to injustice within your faith.

Nope. First Amendament rights. In fact, here in Chicago years back we had an exhibit at the Chicago Institute of Art that had people walking over a US Flag to sign a stupid book! Then they couldn't understand why all of a sudden some folks were threatening to stop their funding! Some people still don't understand the fact that the freedom of speech/choice works both ways (this includes you, Dixie Chicks); you may have the right to say what you want, but with that right comes responsibility. Others have the right to express their disagreement and equally voice their right to disagree, and make a choice to NOT buy your Cds, or endorse your endevours. A lot of the post 9/11 folks never really got this message when they were still spewing anti-US BS in 2002...
