Granite City Sectionals

We won't know for a week if any state champs will come from this sectional, but for anyone who was there, getting to state was one heck of an accomplishment. This sectional was a blood bath. Sandburg sent 6 out, Marist and Minooka managed to get 5 kids to state. Granite City, Lockport and Belleville West sent 4. Congratulations to them and all the teams, but mostly congrats to the kids that qualified...from any school...at any weight...from this sectional!!!!

Plainfield Central got 5 as well. Just giving credit where it is due. Many great teams and wrestlers at Granite City. The ones who got out stand a strong chance of walking away with a medal next Saturday.
