Criteria
I've never had the pleasure of this happening, but what's the criteria to determine the winner of a dual when the team scores are tied after the last match?

I believe the iESA follows the NFHS regulations unless stated otherwise. Here's the NFHS reg on dual meet tie-breakers:
In rule 9-2-2 the dual meet tie-breaking criteria is listed as follows: a)The team whose opposing wrestlers or team has been penalized the greater number of team points for flagrant or unsportsmanlike conduct shall be declared the winner. b)The team having won the greater number of matches (including forfeits)shall be declared the winner. c) The team having accumulated the greater number of points for falls, defaults, forfeits, or disqualifications shall be declared the winner. d)The team having the greater number of technical falls shall be declared the winner. e)The team having the greater number of major decisions shall be declared the winner. f)The team having the greater number (total match points) of first point(s) scored shall be declared the winner. g) The team having the greater number of near-falls shall be declared the winner. h) The team having the greater number of takedowns shall be declared the winner. i) The team having the greater number of reversals shall be declared the winner. j) The team having the greater number of escapes shall be declared the winner. k) The team whose opponent has been penalized the greater number of points for stalling l) The team whose opponent has been warned more often for stalling . m) The team whose opponent has the greater number of points for all other infractions shall be declared the winner. n) If none of the above resolve the tie, either a tie shall be declared or the flip of the disk shall determine the winner. Did we win??? LOL! |

I'm a little confused. You didn't have tie scores in the tri with Romeville and Homer. Or were the scores posted wrong?
And first criteria? Did a coach go into a crazy fit of rage and start cursing? I wasnt juicy, juicy details. |

Oh, that would be awesome. I like the idea of a clipboard throw followed by a curse, then when hit for unsportsmanlike, Coach A really gets his money's worth and starts throwing chairs, punches, and then wrestlers.
There's a side to "Coach A" that we haven't seen before. You wouldn't like him when he's angry. Come on Coach, details... |

I had added incorrectly and thought there was a tie when actually Lukancic won by two. No criteria needed. I was a little tires when I asked and was thinking the -1 team point was during the wrong dual.
Only because it seems everyone is curious, I should see Gunn today. |
