Any results from Libertyville Quad with Wheaton N., OPRF & Rita?

Any final results and or box scores from this quad?

OPRF (13-0, 3-0) drove to Chicagoland North to face three formidable squads. While the squads were formidable, the fight just wasn't. The top-ranked Huskies sped by the competition en route to three easy wins: 56-9 over St. Rita, 43-12 over Libertyville, and 52-21 over Wheaton North.

Cam Harris had a big day for the Huskies. He defeated 3 ranked wrestlers by major and two decisions. Jake O'Mara won his first three matches back from absence, including a win over #3-ranked (138) Tim Corse of St. Rita (by injury default). Darius Henry returned to the lineup with a victory, and Larry Early (126) won a tough, close bout over the #7-ranked (120) Pat Fitzgerald of Libertyville. Colin Rogers is proving he is tough at 138 and 145 with a pair of wins over ranked opponents. Andre Lee and Emonte Logan are both showing amazing growth in their sophomore campaigns. Emonte had the throw of the day, putting #2-ranked (220) Mike Swider of Wheaton North on his back before falling after an epic battle. Dominique Peel dominated in his match to score a win in his first Varsity appearance. All in all, the Huskies won 30 of 37 contested bouts (non-forfeits) against three ranked teams.

In the other three duals, the scores were: Libertyville def. St. Rita 39-17; Libertyville def. Wheaton North 42-14; and St. Rita def. Wheaton North 35-31.

Thank goodness the refs had nothing to do with the outcome of the duals. All 4 teams were shocked at how bad the refs were. Both guys reffing the varsity matches did not know the rules. Ask anyone who was there and im sure they would agree. Rita vs OPRF Madgridal for SR beat Robles at 106 in 2ot. Corse was leading Omara 6-3 and in control when Corses lip wouldnt stop bleeding and had to default. Woulfe beat Murphy 3-1 in a match that should have went to ot. Wolfe was around Murphys legs and Murphy was on his knees and the ref awarded a takedown. Ritas other win came from a pin at 220 by Threloff. Logan got away with a punch to the groin and a punch to the face in that match. Threloff also wrestled Swider from WN and lost 1-0. Also the match between Logan and Swider wasnt an epic battle. Logan suprised him with a throw and Swider woke up and pinned him. I never seen Logan wrestle before but after seeing those 2 punches I seriously doubt Powell would coach someone to do that and would hope the OPRF coaches would say something. All that being said OPRF looks awesome I think 195, 220 and 285 are weaknesses every other weight looks real good

Saturday OPRF vs Montini will be a great Dual. I give Montini the edge in 9 of the 14 matches. Montini by 10.

I agree with much of what you said, however my report on the quad was just that -- my report. It was my interpretation of what I saw. I can't bend the facts (match results), but I sure can put my spin on things. And yes, it is a Huskie spin. The report that was posted on here by JudoConcierge was taken from oprfwrestling.com, the site that I created and author.

I very much think that the battle between Logan and Swider was an epic battle. I didn't expect Logan to be in the match for so long -- much less have Swider on his back. Swider was clearly the better wrestler, but the match went into the third tied 4-4. It certainly was epic in the way it unfolded and the fact that it may have been the most talked about match on OPRF's side. If Sammy Brooks was tied 4-4 going into the 3rd with anybody, it'd be an epic battle, too, in my opinion. As far as you seeing "punches," I didn't see any. I did see very heavy hands (head taps) that should have been penalized or given a stern talking to, at the very least. I never saw any punch to the groin.

I very much agree that the reffing was suspect, especially the ref on the St. Rita/OPRF mat. I felt uneasy, it was that bad. I think he's a good fellow, and I hope he prepares himself better for the next time.

I was surprised to see Threloff at 220, and I wonder where he'll go for regionals. St. Rita has some tough wrestlers, that's for sure. They competed well in all the matches.

And to all the teams, I wish them the best of luck the rest of the way.
