you add Tinley, Force , and/or Arlington and I'd say you'd have the all the best teams in the state.

how are you seeding?

Gomez may know wrestling, but they don't know math. 8 teams paying $600 = $4,800 and they don't even have to rent out a school to hold the tournament. Actually for that much, I'd suspect maybe they're better businessmen than we give them credit.

In all seriousness, I'm sure it will be a great competition, but I bet anything Hector can't even say "Registration is $600 per team" without his lips curling up into a smile. The new addition to the facility must be more expensive than they planned.

Just remember to bring quarters in case you got to use their bathroom.

Every club has their own fundraisers. Most choose to hold a tournament. It is not cheap or easy to run a tournament. Every club has different expenses and different fundraising needs. If you do not want to support the club, then do not go. You cannot fault a club for trying to raise funds. Just my 2 cents.

No good deed...

If you don't approve of what it costs then DON'T GO.

Let everyone else make their own choice. Gomez doesn't need to justify themselves to anyone. It takes money to run a club as well as they run theirs -- especially when they offer all that they offer.

This is a SERVICE they're providing for us that many of us have asked for. I wish them much luck and success in achieving their goals.

Actually I think it will be great competition and I would encourage all to go. But there is no need to be sensitive when we notice the price is high and we joke about it....

Let's be a bit realistic though, some clubs are ran as nonprofits and some are ran as a business under the guise of a youth club.

Gomez wrestlers are top notch--no doubt and their coaching is great. But dude, the stuff they host is pricey!
