Regional Tournament Scoring

I took a look on the IHSA site and found the scoring section. It seems simple enough, but I must be missing something. I will give a quick summary of how I think it is listed - and hopefully someone will confirm or "fix" my thinking.

1st: 14 pts
2nd: 10 pts
3rd: 7 pts
4th: 4 pts

Championship Side Wins: 2 pts
Consolation Wins: 1 pt

Pin: 2 pts Bonus (regardless of champ. or cons.)
TF: 1.5 pts
MD: 1 pt

Wrestlers coming from a Bye earn whatever bonus points they earned in thier next match (obviously must win).

Winners of the Championship Finals do not the last 2 advancement points.

So, please check these 2 examples.
Ex1. Bye, Pin, Pin - 1st Place Finish - Did they earn 24 team points?
Ex2. Loss, Pin, Pin, Win - 3rd Place Finish - 14 Pts?

Ex2: I count 13 pts (Loss-0, Pin-3, Pin-3,Win-7 place pts)

Ex 1- I agree, 24 points...
Ex2- I count 12 pts.(loss-0, Pin-3, Pin-2, plus 7 for placing 3rd

no extra point for the 3rd place match just like no extra 2 for the 1st place match?

unless you mean Ex 2. has 4 matches? Loss, Pin , Pin, Decision, then third place...that I would count as 13pts...

however, after reading it over about 4 more times...maybe there is no bonus points...? maybe its just straight points...which would mean I score like this...
Ex.1 =bye-2,pin-2,pin for 1st place-14=18 pts
Ex. 2=loss-0,pin-1,pin-1,decision for 3rd place-7 =9 pts..
