Semi Final Match-ups

Are there any semi final matches people are looking forward to watching tonight? Any history behind some of the match-up others on the board might not be aware of?

I myself am interested in the Baldridge/Mcghee after their sectional semi match.

When I say what I am about to say...it is by no means my opnion on which weight i think is the strongest. I think that the 145 semi-finals are going to be the most exciting to watch three of the four wrestlers are from the same sectional and gnatt lost a really close match to mays in the finals ....

285 Seth Gonzalez, Yorkville vs Curus Lilly, Sterling

This will be the fourth time they met his year. Gonzalez won the first match back in November. Lilly has won at both the Northern Illinois Big 12 Confernece championship and the Sterling Sectional. Gonzalez did not wrestling at all until his Freshman year.

Ultimate tie braker, Gonzalez wins. Rode Lilly for 30 seconds. Great bout between two evenly matched and talented wrestlers. I knew it would be a great one.

At 182 > amazed at Lemonts Kirkman coming out of nowhere to stun Urbana's undefeated Cameran Mammen in the semi's, 6-4
But 182 JACKSON is perhaps the most unnoticed great talent at state this year.

The easy predictions > 160; Reel, 170; Jackson, 182, Dechow, and the FAST PIN machine at 195

ALL the lower weights are almost a toss up ? along with 220 and 285 ?
220 Nazereths WATSON is a compelling story, barely heard of Nazereth, and Watson barely wins each match but he get's his HAND RAISED everytime. He knows how to win.

MOODY vs Pawleski [sp] will be a great 106 rematch, with slight favor going to Montini.
Shocked that LASTER didn't make it, 113, I had him winning it.

152 ? > KAMINSKY seems to be a man on mission, beating the very strong KERRES in the semi. KERRES has weight lifting totals that rival guys 50 pounds bigger and Kaminsky slowed the match down to minimize the strength differential. CULTON will have to stay aggresive for 6 minutes in the final - - - otherwise - - - -

MONTINI, with 7 guys in wrestle backs, ALL 7 will win a 3rd or 5th ? ALL Montini's finalists should win, 106, 120, 132, especially Powell 120, very strong.
