Absolutely. They even even bow coming on and off the mat.

Its odd that Brazil does not do better - men or women, they seem to dominate the grappling part of MMA...- I guess the reason would be that Olympic wrestling is low scoring, so if you score on the feet you will probably win, where bjj is mainly on the ground and they will give up takedowns to get it there.

The Brazilians are very good in both jui jitsu and judo. It seems wrestling never caught on in that country.

I was in Sao Paulo recently at a store buying a Jiu Jitsu Kimono and I talked to them a little about wrestling. They basically didn't even know what it is.

- I thought of this guy during the Illinois HS Championships. I haven't seen him wrestle a lot, but seemed liked he never intiated moves, always a counter wrester & like the strongest dude in the world. People were commenting on champs that don't for take-downs, etc. I guess if it works, it works. Would be interesting to see what would happen if he became aggressive...

- of all the guys listed, who was the most dominant at ncaa level - probably him or Herbert I guess but don't follow it that close. Seems like Mocco gets in often to this kind of stuff, but not big enough to win it at Olympic level.

Other than Russia, what are the other top countries this year?
I thought he would get through, I think he has a shot at a medal, seems like he has the best strength advantage of the various wrestlers...

How many entries are there per weight class? Or how many entries in each bracket?

Might be lining up better for peak age vs Olympic opportunity than for Joe Williams.
