It's Zobrist...and Hawk is and always will be a "homer", but he will also ALWAYS tell it like it is, good or bad (like when Floyd had his meltdown vs the Twinkies). In this case Harrelson was 100% correct. The whole thing started back on Tuesday when AJ came in with a high slide to break-up a double play and spiked Ben Zobrist. The following game, first pitch AJ got drilled right on the back. Quintana threw behind Zobrist. At this point the umpire should have (rightfully) warned both dugouts; instead he jumped the gun and tossed Quintana. Does this help????

Now imagine if it were Joe West who made the call instead of Wagner! Hawk would have spread his wings and talloned the hell out of west.

Aj went in hard and then plunked. Should have ended there. Course all if this unwritten rule stuff is stupid anyway.

Don't get me wrong, Hawk was right, but there is a way to handle things as a "professional." Hawk often acts like a boob! All of his Hawkisms are getting old!

Please don't call them the Twimkies! You sound like a Cubs fan saying, "Cubbies!" Makes you sound like a 3 yr old!

GO SOXIES!

I wouldn't say he went in hard.....he went in trying to spike him! I am all about hard plays and doing what you can to break up a double play, but that was over the line. And that is coming from a Sox fan!

I picked up the "Twinkies" from Hawk...and a lot of fans say "Cubbies"..."Soxies" sounds as stupid as those red thrwo-back uni's look. On a different note, if Sale keeps pitching the way he has been, he will make the All-Star team.

Sale is looking like a shoo-in for the All Star game; heck, he might even be the starter. Now if we can just get Danks healthy, and UNF**K Humber and Floyd...

yeah, either floyd or humber have got to go. Quintana is looking sharp as well. Now I've seen in the past where they get rid of a guy to make room from another, and the guy who comes into the rotation permanently sucks it up after that. But right now, Quintana is looking very solid, hasn't allowed more than 2 earned runs in any start. I'm a little sick of people saying the Sox are the worst team at developing talent, or that we have the worst minor leagues. Look who's come up recently: Viciedo, Becks, Quintana, De Aza, SALE, and almost our entire bullpen.

Peavy, Sale, and Quintana have all been pretty solid. The problem is Danks, Floyd, and Humber. I am still concerned about the bull-pen, but the offense has really been good (other than last night vs St Louis...blew a gem by Peavy).
