Grappler Fall Classic registration opens Aug 1st

2012 Grappler Fall Classic
Presented by MichiganGrappler.com

Kellogg Arena - Battle Creek, MI
October 13-14

The 3rd Annual Grappler Fall Classic will open registration on August 1st for the High School, Middle School, and Elementary Divisions. Registration will be available online at the Grappler Fall Classic Home Page (http://www.michigangrappler.com/grap...llclassic.html)

The GFC has evolved into one of the prominent Preseason National Wrestling tournaments in the country with loaded charts filled with high school state placers, state champions, and nationally recognized grapplers. The GFC provides a college-style environment with college riding time rules, extended out-of-bounds to allow for more action, a full crew of college officials, and a herd of college coaches in attendance to see you compete!

The event is two days and will take place in Battle Creek, MI at the Kellogg Arena, which is the home of the Michigan High School Team State Championships. The venue, less than 150 miles from the Illinois state line, is made for big time wrestling and it allows enough room to get the High School division completed in one-day even with estimated growth. The High School Division will wrestle on Saturday, then the next wave of super-studs will hit the mats on Sunday for the Middle School and Elementary Divisions.

The best way to get noticed on the national stage is to get out there and compete and the GFC provides the perfect environment to do so. In addition to the college coaches in attendance, you will be noticed from our insane video coverage that is featured on FloWrestling, Live Video Streams, and live results on TrackWrestling. If that's not enough to get your name out there, Michigan Grappler will also be preparing and sending out Recruiting Portfolios for all the Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who compete in the Grappler Fall Classic so that your information is in the hands of all Division 1 College Coaches in the country.

The star-studded high school division has given the GFC instant notoriety headlined by a virtual whos-who of Michigan and midwest wrestling talent. Last year, the GFC attracted over 700 wrestlers from 11 different states. Out of last year's High School division, 123 participants went on to earn All-State Status in their respective states with 26 GFC participants going on to win prep state titles.

Last year the GFC added Elementary and Middle School divisions, opening doors for youth wrestlers to join in on the fun. In the first year, the Middle School and Elementary Divisions saw nearly 200 wrestlers from 7 different states show up to battle with the same college rules as the High School division. This year's GFC will feature Elementary (Grade 3-6) and Middle School (Grade 7-8) divisions again and this year's GFC will be a "Super-Platinum" event in the Michigan Grappler Youth Fab 50, which is sure to attract the top-tier Elementary and Middle School wrestlers from Michigan.

Preseason National Wrestling has become a staple for high school and youth wrestlers looking to make a name for themselves and the Grappler Fall Classic has a proven reputation in just two years as one of the elite wrestling events in the country. Top notch officials, elite talent from across the country, superb tournament staff, and excellent media and video coverage allow us to put great wrestling on display in the best way.
