Herbert on Stern this morning...

I didn't get to listen to the whole interview but, Jake Herbert was on Howard Stern this morning. Stern interviewed him for Jake yelling out "Bababooie!" during the opening ceremonies and it was caught by an open mic. Howard invited him to come in the studio after the Olympic Games. Apparently the freestyle team is training in Minsk before heading back to London for weigh-ins and competition.

From what I heard it was your average Howard interview. There was a stupid comment about the original games being performed in the nude and a story about Jake crapping his pants right before stepping on the mat while he was at NU. But, the King of All Media did give our sport its props for arguably being the toughest one out there.

Any press is good press and Jake has the charisma to be a good ambasador of the sport no matter what the venue is.

Big Stern and Herbert fan! An in-studio interview would no doubt be pretty hilarious. But Herbert seems to have a great sense of humor and if anyone can handle it, he could.

I heard the whole interview.

Ironically, they had been discussing Jake on the Howard news last week because he had talked about what a huge Stern fan he is. Always fun to hear a good Baba Booey, especially during the Olympics. I also liked to hear Howard giving the sport credit for being so difficult.

Howard said he'd love to have Jake in studio when he gets home from the games. I hope they have him in.
