I don't know if this was posted because I didn't look back in the thread, but Jack Danilowicz from Libertyville is headed to Virginia to become a Cavalier. If you ask me, he's been reading what I said about the coastal schools and took some advice. Way to go!

Matt Lee is undecided. He may go to Illinois for engineering (he is a high honors student). Whether he wrestles is really secondary to school for him at this point.

Yes, their job is more than merely dangerous but so is the job of the couragous grunt that enlisted and did not receive all the benefits that an academy graduate did.
I am not making this statement without the proper reverence that our young men in the armed forces deserve. I have the utmost respect for all our troops that comprise our armed forces. I have coached kids at the academies and also kids that have enlisted. Many are in Iraq right now. My prayers are with them and your son.

Lauden

Academy graduates are as valued in the workplace as any university graduate, IVY or not. The IVY's have the upper hand vs most other universities in that you can be assured the graduate knows their field of study backwards and forwards and usually will be exposed to real world experience from the curriculum. The Academies, in addition to that, add a degree of discipline that may or may not come with a University/College degree.

Wow for some reason I thought he had commited to Iowa. Illinois is stacked with home grown boys. that makes the lower weights that much more tougher. So many kids you can't even start to try and put together a line up from 125-149

Well,

I am pretty sure that Tim Gleich is headed to Elmhurst to wrestle
for the very successful Steve Marianetti who has lead Elmhurst
to 2 straight CCIW league titles in a row.... And they are very young,
so the outlook is bright for them.

Rob Lewandowski is headed for SIU-E, and will be part of that
up and coming program which just had a brand new facility donated
for wrestling only by an alum.

Adam Canty I beleive is headed for Moraine Valley, and is hanging up
his head gear.

The rest, I have no idea, nor have I heard anything...

Joe
