Registration is underway for the 29th season of the Villa-Lombard Cougars. The season will start Monday, Nov 13th from 6pm to 8pm.

Over the years, this long storied program has produced 23 state champions, including 2006 84 lb novice champ Joey Gosinski, and hundreds of state placers.

The Cougars, the official feeder program of perennial IHSA state power Glenbard North (Carol Stream), practice at the high school from 6pm-8pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for those midget level and above.

On Mondays, there will be one room for the wrestlers to further solidify fundamentals, while the more experienced wrestlers will work in a group on more advanced techniques. The remaining two days the two groups are together for highly-intensive workouts.

The strength of the Cougars' program is the coaching and ample workout partners at each weight and age.

The bantams (ages 4-8) will have practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays, also from 6pm to 8pm.

The registration fee is $155, which includes your IKWF card, t-shirt and year end banquet.

The rumor going around (based on phone calls) that we have closed the registration process is not true. This was probably based on the fact that we had near-record early signups.
It is still not too late to register with the VL Cougars. We are taking registrations for new and old wrestlers alike.
If interested, fill out registration form (vlcougars.com) and bring a copy of birth certicate to an upcoming practice. Practices are held Mon, Tues and Thurs from 6pm-8pm at Glenbard North High School.
