After Ironman -- Illinois Teams
Congratulations to Montini and Glenbard North.
Here's a question for those who were there, or have any other reason to know. . . . How would other solid teams from Illinois, maybe not top 8, but numbers 9 through 20, do at the Ironman? Do we have a big, fast, drop off of talent, or could our, let's say #15 best team finish in the top 20 to 25 at Ironman? I don't mean pick out any specific teams, but just in general, how would Illinois teams do? |

I'd forgotten about Dakota. They were a very good tournament team with several very talented guys in that Senior Class. They ran away with a couple of tournaments here--like Princeton.
Rita is already a top a top 8 team. Using the Dakota example, could any top twenty team in Illinois finish in the top 20 at Ironman? |

Having wrestled for Lena-Winslow back in the 90's, I can tell you that Dakota was more than just a good tournament team. There was no weak links in that team last year. There are very few this year. I don't think they can repeat, but will still be a force. Of all the years, I have wrestled/seen Dakota, that was their most talented. A lot of that is due to Pete.
