215... who's gonna be there??

Who is staying at 215? Fagiano was there, left for 189, and is back. Allegedly he was having a hard time staying at 189 (no suprise to me... he's a HORSE). How about Brantley... 285 or 215?? It's a tough weight class without those two, but with them... wow. Any ideas who is staying??????

Schoen and Fagiano are locks for 215. Brantley just walked thru the CCL at 215, so I am sure thats where he is staying. Also Walker from Glenbard East. Should be a monster state semi.

Brantley will go 215, even though it will probably suck him dry. I honestly belive that Brantley will have a better chance of winning state at HWT than 215, but thats just my opinion. Fagiano said that he's hovering around 205, so thats a lot of weight to cut, plus it won't be that hard coming down from 205 to 197 for college. Fagiano will stay at 215.

Then you did not see him at CCL's. He was far from sucked dry, quick and slick as ever. Brantley will win 215 downstate (and it won't be easy) and could of won 285 had he chose to stay at that weight. Winning 215 will require beating two studs and a couple of pretenders as well. Who knows who is coming from downstate? But i am staying with Brantley. He is so deceptive and that will carry him far.

Twist... Name your two studs, since Schoen beat Fagiano recently in a dual, who are the pretenders, surely not Walker??

i bet what Mr. Twister was saying was that he will have to bettwo studs. one in the semis and 1 in the finals and beat other pretenders befor that at state.

Brantley

Hey Twist...I'm not sure about your comment saying Brantley would win at 285 if he stayed there. Seems like an OT win and a loss in triple overtime is not a sure thing especially if Goebel's there!

Nope. Got to keep some mystry to this. besides how can I name who the two studs are until I see the stupid blind draw brackets. Actually maybe he won't have to beat any studs considering how the IHSA does things.

Besides all of that Brantley has beat all of the contenders before so he can do it again.

Life is not sure. Are you sure you are going to wake up tomorrow? I never said it was a "sure thing". I said he "could" win at 285 just like at 215. Brantley has just a good of chance winning at 285 as anyone else. I bet Goebel des not mind Brantley going to 215. You just pointed out the scores of the previous matches with Goebel so you know that Brantley can win at 285 or lose at 285. He would be the best threat to Goebel winning that weight which is why the rankers left him at #1 in the weight class even tho he had a loss.
