14U: Illinois impresses in Greco-Roman National Duals earning a runner-up finish the hard way

OAKS, PENNSYLVANIA • Illinois’ 14U National Team looked very good and came out and represented Team Illinois Greco in a manner befitting Illinois Greco. The future stars of Illinois wrestling showed great resolve and battled hard in earning their runner-up finish at the National Duals this past weekend inside of Zions Bank Stadium.

Coming in as the number-three seed in their Preliminary Bracket B Pool, Illinois blurred past Team Maryland in its opening dual, 50-28, before being stifled by a very good Team Pennsylvania, 56-24, in the pool’s semifinals.
