It was a great dual tonight between these two rivals. It could have gone either way but granite pulled out the win. Best match of the night was 140 Hubbert vs. Knoebel

Hard to believe Granite City won the way they did with Warfield and Carney only getting majors. I thought the Walliser-Jackstadt match was really good along with the Antoff-Tutka match. Antoff kinda set the tone with a big win. I don't think we saw Edwardsville's best effort but don't want to take anything away from Granite City as they seemed to want it more tonight. Can't wait til the holiday as it looks like it will be a dandy and several of these kids will wrestle each other 2 or 3 more times this year. I also think both teams will only get stronger in the next couple of weeks and the South should be well represented come February.

@ 189 Granite kid was losing handily and caught the Edwardsville wrestle and stuck him. That was huge. Edwardsville also made a couple of mistakes but thought Granite really showed up tonight.

oh and i forgot that match between justin vallence or something like that and the edwardsville kid were i think the best match of the night. that was the turning point on wether or not we were gonna win tonight so good job guys and keep up the good work

I echo everyone's thoughts. It was a great dual and it is always fun to see these two teams wrestle. I also think the best match of the night was Hubert and Knoebel. With a last second takedown to win the match was exciting. Good luck to all these boys this weekend and hopefully we see some good match-ups between these two teams throughout the rest of the year.

I am not going say the specific match, but I believe the turning point was earlier in the night. The bottom line is Granite wrestle their butts off and refused to lose that night. They had guys step up in a big way. Congrats on Granite for the win!
