Emails show that Michael Spitzer-Rubenstein, Wisconsin state lead for the National Vote at Home Institute was not only given four of the five keys to where absentee votes were being counted in Green Bay, Wisconsin but that he was also given two internet connections at the site.

Votes can be changed and counts can be changed if tabulators are connected to the internet. Spitzer-Rubenstein is a Democratic operative and not an election official.

    • I can't speak for all of us, but I agree, Huff. That would be a starting point (and a good one) for me. We have to go back to the DMV every so often to retest, why not with guns?

Oldpioneer, I enjoyed what your Father said about locks. Very keen. Very insightful.

On another note, you should claim the renaming of gun stores as "Karen Stores" as your own intentional creation! That could be a Saturday Night Live bit.

      Cheers!

      • Requiring that every new regulation defeat every prior mass shooting is a fool's game. It is the epitome of the old saw, "Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good."

A new law to protect online credit card fraud isn't going to protect you from a pickpocket. It is meant to protect you from online credit fraud.

Now, can I get a "No Guns"?

Problem solved...that was easy. There are only two things that would stop a crazy from killing...even if you have already taken their guns...those two things are fear and a gun...It doesn't matter what they are afraid of as long as the fear is greater than the crazy...if the crazy is insurmountable, then you need a gun.

We already have background checks...he passed and bought the gun legally.
That's the point the background check is a joke. Tighten up that area, no way this person should be legally allowed to own a gun

Government is not competent enough to do that. What makes you think he wouldn't have planted a bomb if he couldn't get a gun. You are talking about treating the symptom's instead of the disease. I don't know about this guy, but over 90% of these shooters are from broken homes...most are or have been on some sort of behavioral prescription drugs. Who has the guns is an important factor, but it is not as important as why they are crazy. People who fear god and believe in Heaven and hell don't do this, unless they are Muslim.

              • Here is a good opportunity to start enforcing some of the gun laws on the books. If we made a law and enforced it that stated only Republicans could own guns, we could stop about 80% of the gun crime...I think I just changed my mind on commonsense gun control.

Secret Service Intervened In Hunter Biden Gun Incident; Hunter May Have Lied On Background Check Form, Report Says

                By Ryan Saavedra

                Mar 25, 2021 DailyWire.com

Another scandal involving President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, broke on Thursday morning when a new report outlined allegations that the Secret Service intervened in a firearm-related incident a few years ago.

The report comes after Hunter Biden revealed in December that he was under federal criminal investigation over matters related to his taxes and overseas business dealings.

The new allegations facing Hunter Biden stem from an October 2018 incident between Hunter Biden and Hallie Biden, the wife of Hunter Biden’s deceased brother, Beau Biden. Hunter Biden dated his brother’s widow and later fathered a child with a stripper while he was living with Hallie Biden.

Hallie Biden allegedly took Hunter Biden’s gun and threw it in a trash can behind a grocery store, which prompted an investigation from law enforcement officials who were concerned because the trash can was close to a high school. Hallie Biden later returned to retrieve the firearm only to discover it was missing.

“Secret Service agents approached the owner of the store where Hunter bought the gun and asked to take the paperwork involving the sale, according to two people, one of whom has firsthand knowledge of the episode and the other was briefed by a Secret Service agent after the fact,” Politico reported. “The gun store owner refused to supply the paperwork, suspecting that the Secret Service officers wanted to hide Hunter’s ownership of the missing gun in case it were to be involved in a crime, the two people said. The owner, Ron Palmieri, later turned over the papers to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, which oversees federal gun laws.”

The report notes that the Secret Service agents at the agency’s offices in Wilmington, Delaware, would unofficially help manage Joe Biden’s security and that the agency does not have any official record of incident.

                The report added:
POLITICO obtained copies of the Firearms Transaction Record and a receipt for the gun dated Oct. 12, 2018.

Hunter responded “no” to a question on the transaction record that asks, “Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?” Five years earlier, he had been discharged from the Navy Reserve after testing positive for cocaine, and he and family members have spoken about his history of drug use.

Lying on an ATF Form 4473 is a felony that can carry a 10-year prison sentence with a $250,000 fine. The report comes as Joe Biden has demanded that Congress enact tougher gun laws.

Hallie Biden told Hunter Biden what she did, at which point he told her to retrieve the firearm. When she returned to the store to get the firearm out of the trash, it was missing. The Delaware State Police and the FBI responded to the scene to investigate and questioned Hunter Biden. A copy of the police report said that Hunter Biden “became very agitated” when he was asked if the firearm had been used to commit a crime.

When Hunter Biden was asked if he was doing drugs or drinking, Hunter Biden responded by saying that Hallie Biden was concerned about him being mentally unstable, saying that she was concerned that he was going to commit suicide.

The report says that “an older man who regularly rummages through the grocery’s store’s trash to collect recyclable items” found the firearm and returned it days later, although it does not say who the firearm was returned to.

The White House claims that Biden “did not have any knowledge of, or involvement in, the Secret Service’s alleged role in this incident.”

He obviously did not believe that he would burn in hell for all eternity. He had no fear of God

The Quran teaches that you will go to heaven and get 72 virgins if you kill infidels...you and I are infidels. Not all Muslims believe the original teachings of the Quran, but some do.

There must be a better way to weed out the crazies (mentally ill) from ever owning a firearm. The latest incident in Colo. clearly illustrates a man who should have never been able to legally purchase a weapon. Do we all agree on that?
After the fact, yes, I absolutely agree. However I don't know how this guy's mental illness manifested itself. That's the toughest part of getting a grip on some of these insane acts done by insane people.

I can, but I don't think you can...the way that you talk about Trump and his supporters is the very definition of bigotry. Citing factual statements from the Quran are not bigotry. When the mosquitos are biting, we don't say damn the gnats are bad. It is not clear if this guy was a terrorist, but he was an ISIS. supporter and like you he hated Trump.
