I wonder if they can do a secret ballot for the impeachment trial? I would canvas the Republican caucus to find out who might vote secretly to convict. If there's a chance of that, then I'd go for it. On the other hand, having them come out and vote in public against conviction has its advantages as well. More and more stuff will come out about Trump, and that vote will be real stinky by 2022. I guess it depends on how much evidence will be put on. I want the Senate to concentrate on fixing things, but I also feel they have to seek justice.

Interesting question about voting secretly. I am sure it must be public. It makes no difference to me if they convict or not. But just like you said, more and more is going to come out about all said and did what. How ironic that the crime that took place happen against Congress itself.? It is almost like some people would have to vote to acquit and avoid the trial because it could implicate themselves. Well, he’s a reality show star. He has certainly made a reality show. Just like the first time, there's no way Trump will be impeached. It's a waste of time and taxpayer money. It blows my mind that people support him after what happened on January 6. But it will be interesting to see what happens to the Republican party. The senators are especially nervous. If they turn on Trump he will form his own patriot party. He won’t win but it would definitely split the party. I mean, Trump even turned on Mike Pence at the end.

Trump won't form a third party...he will finish the take over of the Republican party. He still has massive support among the Republican voters...more than establishment types in the GOP do...the Republican party is on trial in the Senate...not Trump. What happened on the 6th was the people that cause most of the evil in the world had a few peasants with pitch forks stopping by to say hello. It has been said that Trump could shoot a baby in Time Square on live TV, and not lose any support from his voters...that is closer to being true than you could ever imagine. Stealing the election from him was a bad Idea.

The Democrat party practically committed suicide to take out Trump...All of your Democrat run cities and states are losing huge chunks of population and the representation that goes with that.
