Head to Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Illinois, Friday night at 7 p.m. to catch the Northwestern wrestling team in action in their final match before Midlands. The 22nd ranked Wildcats will take on a Cardinals team ranked 16th in Division III. The Wildcats boast Levi Mele, ranked 8th at 125, Jason Welch, ranked 3rd at 157, and Lee Munster, ranked 13th at 174. North Central has three wrestlers ranked in the top six of their weight class in Division III, including Nathan Fitzenreider who is ranked first at 133 pounds, Andrew Zobac who is third at 141, and Eric Oyster who is sixth at 157. I was hoping to see Brian Dyer wrestle. He is the kid who won state a couple times from Naperville North. He wrestles for North Central right now. -

I have noticed that NC has been fitting Dyer into the lineup at 141 by moving Zobac up to 149 (for some duals). They are best in the low weights, ok in the mid-weights and have very little at 174 and above.Originally posted by smokeyjoe View PostComment
