If I remember correctly, Kennedy had a couple shots in the 1st and a couple more in the 2nd & 3rd, a couple of these on the edge but not a great chance to score. He appeared a bit more conservative than in the matches against Aleksanyan #2, and Slaton #1 seed. However, Murphy (#3 seed, Kennedy was #7) is a much different body style, shorter and built as solid as a rock and hard to score on. Both got quick escapes in the 2nd & 3rd periods when they chose down. To the best of my recollection Murphy never attempted a shot during regulation and was call for stalling in the 3rd, but you kind of knew the ref wouldn't call it again with the score tied 1-1. Kennedy was in on a good single in first 30 of SV1 on the edge, had the foot/ankle but had to pull Murphy back in to finish. Murphy kicked out when Kennedy tried to pull him in. They were back to the middle with ~20 seconds left and it appeared Murphy just caught him off-guard for a split second, got in on a shot (single). It looked like Kennedy almost got a whizzer in to hold him off for the remaining time, but didn't and was only able to stave off the takedown for 3-5 seconds. There is no doubt Murphy is good, but it my opinion not better than Kennedy, just different style. It should've been a great learning experience.

Murphy / Kennedy
ionels description is very well put. If I'm not mistaken I believe
those were the only two points Kennedy allowed all tournament.
It was interesting to see how short Murphy is.
He reminded me of Marcus Carpenter (except Murphy is a lot bigger
up top)Stare into my eyes. Do I look dreamie to you?
