  • Who will lose first...

Saw Geezus do this on the AA board thought it was an interesting topic.

Who will be the first person ranked #1 to lose?

    103: Eddie Klimara (Providence)
    112:Edwin Cooper (Providence)
    119: Damonte Riley(Marian Catholic)
    125:Tony Ramos (Glenbard North)
    130:Nick Dardanes (OPRF)
    135:Ellis Coleman (OPRF)
    140:Matt Boggess (Prospect)
    145: Elias Larson (Marian Catholic)
    152: Bobby Barnhisel (Fenwick)
    160: Jahwon Akui (St. Rita)
    171: Lee Munster (Grant)
    189: Ryan Robinson (Collinsville)
    215:Robert Cooney (East Moline)
    285: Chris Brassell (Main South)

While I love watching the Dardanes brothers wrestle, I think Nick at 130 will have his hands full. He beat Chase once, but the second time will be even harder. This weight class is loaded.

I would go with Ryan Robinson as the first to lose and then Damonte Riley second

Riley will be the first to lose out of that bunch. People have little respect for Ryan Robinson despite him being in the finals last year. He is the real deal. Cooney would be my next guess at going down early.

None of them will lose. They will all go undefeated and there we have it....the state champs for 2009....

Twist, I like your response. Sure, 1 kid does lose in every match, but to take book on who will lose just seems tacky, esspecially when you're talking about top kids where the one that loses 1st just might lose because of a fluke situation.

i think akui will lose next. i know im probably alone, but something with his style tells me he wont win state this year
Even when winning is illogical, losing is still far from optional.

Exactly...it is a very negative thing...almost Vegas like...taking odds on who will lose...let's start a thread to see who will WIN next...

Ya think? Of course, lifting up the positive is just "boring", regardless of the fact that all these kids have half killed themselves for the past 12 months to get here.

                        Ironic

I think they will all lose their first round regional match at the same time, and then all of them will win thru the state finals, giving all of them the best of both worlds.
