  • Most Improved Wrestler from past 1 or 2 Years?

For example: A kid got knocked out of regionals freshman sophmore or junior year with not an amazing bracket. The next year he makes it down state and maybe places.

Just interested to see. Can name anyone.

Austin Teitsma from Glenbard south won only 21 matches last year without making it out of regionals and is now 32-0 ranked #1 going into sectionals.

Ellis Coleman was good last year and did take third, but this year the kid is just on another level. I think he has improved greatly from last year.

Daniel Dennis...end of story. 2nd fiddle to Jimmy Kennedy in high school, now he's ranked #1 in the nation...talk about most improved...this guy wasn't even a starter for Iowa and now he has replaced the runner up to the national champion (Slaton) and beaten Kennedy. Pretty awesome to see.

Eric Oyster has always been a good wrestler. This year, being healthy, hehas shown himself to be one of the elite 140 pounders.

Vinton at 215 lbs, a Jr. from Prairie Ridge in Crystal Lake. Didn't start wrestling until he was a Freshman and only wrestled on the Freshman team. Went 13-10. Wrestled JV all last season. Went 14-4. Wrestled his first varsity meet this season. Went 31-11 and qualified for state!
