  • I think I figured it out...125lbs state bracket!!

OK...I went by the criteria and the IHSA tournament pairing schematic and this is what I came up with:

    #1 Ramos-GBN vs Chaz-Grant

    Zinzer-WA vs Maggi-MC

    #4 Smith-Wheeling vs Ruffino-SC

    C. Dardanes-OPRF vs Butler-RB

    #2 Morrison-CS vs Katz-Deerfield

    Lee-DC vs Johnson-NW

    #3 Bokoski-Minooka vs Mizaur-BR

    Lockhart-PW vs Wise-O'Fallon

I think this is close to being dead-on if I read the IHSA schematics correctly.

Don't you mean seeding criteria, not pairing schematics?

As long as you are reading the seeding criteria according to how IHSA wrote them and not double counting points, then you are dead on.

As far as points for wins, neither are undefeated but both are over 37 wins so each get the 15 points for wins. After that is was easy...Bokoski #3 and Smith #4. The rest falls into place after you get the top 4. I just got out of the hospital Friday so I have WAY too much time on my hands.
Hope you ar feeling well. I have Smith#3 and Bokowski#4. Smith 32 wins for 10pts and state qualifier for 10pts. Bokowski, because of injury only has 21 wins, which does not show any points. 10 pts for being a state qualifier last year. Unless his taking 6th two years ago, gives him the extra 15 pts. So now I see that there are 2 questions that need answering:
      1. Do undefeated wrestlers get 20pts total (which is what I think) or 20pts and pts for total no. of wins?
      2. Does returning state placers and qualifiers only mean last year, or previous years?

Darn..I missed Smith being an SQ. I thought I had it. That changes a lot. Hang tight and I will re-work it, and no, what you did two years ago does not count.
