I have already stated that Whitford is my pick so if I was bias would I insist that Akui is the most dominant?

In fact, let's put this in perspective based on results. Whitford majored Gosinski in the Dvorak finals, and majored Pearce in the state finals.
Marsden at Conant:
Fall 2:00, fall 1:21, fall :58 (semis), fall :28 (finals)
Dvorak:
Fall 2:49, fall :35, Maj Dec 17-5 (semis), fall 3:12 (finals) over Joe Gonzalez, LT AAA state runner-up
Fox Valley Conference:
Fall 1:20 fall 1:40 fall :58 (finals) over AAA #5 ranked Cody Churkey
AA State championship:
Fall 4:14 fall 2:21 fall 2:48

If a kid is a good wrestler and great kid it is easy to have a good bais towards them. If a kid a an average wreslter and a dick, it is also is also easy to have a "bad" bias towards them. Just don't let your bias to hurt a kid.

I'd agree with you that he looked like a powerful kid. Pinning your way to the finals and then dominating your opponent in the Finals is no small feat.

Two touraments this year he didn't wrestle well, but the results helped cover up one of them. He is still one of the best most dominate wreslters in the state.

When I think back, John Starzyk had a season at 119lbs his junior year where practically nobody touched him...and he was a pinning machine!Last edited by mckbln; 02-20-2011, 10:41 PM.sigpic
