It seems like the "ranking" in the bottom half of bracket makes sense...higher seed vs lower seed. However, the top half of the bracket doesn't make sense. I think the teams should be ranked when the Dual Team bracket is set up. If so, it should have been OPRF vs Harlem and HC vs NT in the top part and Grant vs Maine West and Naperville vs Barrington in the bottom part. Having ranked teams face off in the first round when there are unranked teams against HM teams in the other half doesn't make sense. I am sure it will all shake out in the end (probably OPRF vs Barrington and Sandburg vs GN in the semis) but it would make sense to get some "value" out of your season of work when the State Team dual brackets are set up.
