No. MC is very good and I am not surprised at how well they are doing and I am REALLY looking forward to a potential semi-final match between them and Washington at Dual Team State. OPRF with their full line-up is a BAD match-up for MC, particularly from 106-145lbs, 160-170, and 220lbs, swing matches at 126 and 285, no Reyes is no automatic win over Middlebrooks, 182lbs is an edge to MC, and I give the bonus points to the Caravan at 152 and 195lbs.

I wouldn't call it a bad matchup at all, but definitely a super challenging dual for both teams, that would have been exciting to be a part of. It sucks we couldn't make the scheduling work for this year. I know both programs tried to schedule a meeting. With full lineups, this one could easily go 7-7 or 8-6 and come down to bonus points.

        106
        113
        120
        132
        138
        145
        160
        220
I count 8 matches MC would have to pull a big upset to win with 126/170 being swing matches. I think it would be easier for that dual to wind up 10 matches to 4 in favor of OPRF than it would be to split 7-7. MC would have to win both swing matches, all the matches they are favored in and get an upset to win that dual. It would take a perfect storm. But I've been hearing rumors of a storm brewing over on 64th and Dante for the last 4 years so I guess now is as good as time as any for the clouds to cry.

For me, if we're calling 170 a swing, I'd add 145 as well. Basically an established guy vs arapidly improving up-and-comer. Also we could theoretically bump for 220 and still take the points at 195.

Bumping to 220. Do what you want there but Stallings beats any kid in a Brown singlet.

My point in the earlier post is that though the two teams could split matches, it's not very likely and in fact more likely that MC drops 10 matches than wins 7 against OPRF.

From the orange and blue perspective .

Too bad we don't get to actually wrestle it. Free dates couldn't match up

I tried to be objective by calling toss ups. I think if we polled those outside of OPRF/MC most would favor OPRF in 10 (maybe 9) of the 14 weights.

That already happened in every other competition we entered this year! What's new, lol?

I looked at the schedules of both teams. From the outside Tues 1/26 and Weds 1/27 look doable as OPRF has nothing scheduled that week and MC only has PC on that Friday. I say from the outside because there may be reasons that neither team can compete on those dates that I'm unaware of. I'm gonna put in a request to Coach Collins and ask that you do the same with Coach Kading.
                    Let's make this happen.

I agree. I think OPRF wins 9-10 matches vs Mt Carmel and gets a LOT of bonus points in the lighter weights. No doubt MC gets pins at 152 and 195 but that's about it.
