IHSA Jumbotron Video Is Back!

After discussing things with the IHSA, we've decided to bring back the Jumbotron Video this year. However, the IHSA isn't going to cover our costs, so we've decided to launch a GoFundMe account. We're trying to raise $3000 to cover our expenses and make some money for our time.

This year's project will be a little different. We will screen a highlight video portion just before the finals and then we will share out a link that will house our complete documentary portion. We've got some really good ideas this year and are really excited to bring the project back after taking a year off.

672 Wrestlers In Champaign

While the video is entertaining and helps to fill a void on the jumbo tron...it is a tough sell for the casual fan to pony up any money to support it. In order to represent all 672 wrestlers in the video for just 15 seconds each...you will need to create a video that is close to 3 hours long.

So if I can not see Johnny for 15 seconds...why would I spend any money on the project...with today's technology...I will use my Iphone and capture the moments for the family to enjoy for years to come! For Free!

Now if we can find some advertising dollars from the Illinois companaies...maybe you can raise the money to pay for the video production. I do not see this project being funded by the fans.

First, he's telling people how they should run their programs, then he's telling parents where it's acceptable that they can move, now he's telling me how to do my job. Well, I wouldn't have this up if I hadn't been approached by people asking me to do this. If it doesn't get funded we don't do the project. I'm not losing sleep over it. Ah James...was not criticizing your work...I was only pointing out how difficult it is going to be to get people to spend their money to get this funded. If you and the people that requested that you do the project want to ensure that it gets done...I was merely suggesting that you look for corporate dollars to fund your $3000 video.
