While rankings don't always mean much, I would vote 145:

Patrick Ryan of New Trier (#4 at 3A 145),
Liam Drury of Hinsdale Central (#6 at 3A 145),
Eddie Ordonez of OPRF (#8 at 3A 145),
Josh Ramos of Providence (HM at 3A 145),
Garrett Bass of Belleville West (HM at 3A 145),
Peyton Nimsakont of Glenbard West (HM at 3A 145),
Jacob Holm of Rolling Meadows (HM at 3A 145),
Jaden Llorens of Bradley Bourbonnais (HM at 3A 145),
Easa Aristazabal of Hinsdale South (#8 at 2A 145).

I think this tournament is one of the toughest in state tournaments all year behind the Dvorak

I agree. Just saw Ryan win Prospect Tournament and Ordonez get a TF against Lyons. Saw Drury win Barrington. All three were impressive. Ryan and Drury earned hard fought victories over the always tough #7 Cole Riemer of Fremd in the finals. Then you have Ramos and Bass who will be in the mix.

Looks like the quality is way down this year in terms of depth at almost every weight. Id rank it after not just Dvorak but Barrington as well.

It looks like it is not as deep as in the past because Matmen rankings only go to #6. The old rankings went to 10 plus HM's. But it also could be a little down, just not as down as it looks on paper.

Looking at the 12/12 longer list rankings (more comparable to previous year's rankings) Whitlatch has 66 kids ranked at 3A + 15 kids ranked at 2A scheduled to wrestle. A pretty good field.

Look for Homewood Flosmoor to make some noise with 3 potential champs. 113 Watson 285 Griffin and 170 Dantzler... yes that guys son. He's in Illinois for his senior year flying under the radar until this weekend.
