Indiana plays for keeps at that event! IL guys tend to take it more just as fun. Did Moran wrestle 113 for IN?

Indiana won both. Although it was pretty close. Indiana generally wins this event, I think Illinois chalks it up to not bringing all our 3A winners but it is probably naturally closer then we think.
There are two guys in that zebra costume! Very funny...

What are you talking about? There are 2 teams. The better team is generally made up of mostly all 3a kids sprinkled in with 2a kids. Occasionally some 1a kids. I think the A kids on last years team were 3-1. Losing only to Mason Parris. So letís not blame the 2/1a kids.

The reason Illinois doesnít do well is simple. (FYI Illinois won both last year). When this event is held in Indiana the event doesnít enforce the wrestlers make weight even with a allowance. It is up to the wrestlers to weigh in and report their weight. When it is held in Illinois the results are different as wrestlers do weigh in.

The other reason is illinoisís best kids rarely attend this meet. No Assad who was in Pa. No Pete C. And so on.

Obviously this event means more to Indiana than it does to Illinois wrestling. Everyone knows who wins this if it was Illinois best v Indiana best.

Yes, some 1A kids can beat 3A kids, same with 2A...Montini used to be 2A & could have won 3A in some of those years - you are correct. I meant no disrespect to the 1A/2A world...most kids don't have a choice so in the end id doesn't matter. There are tourneys where they all compete. 3A pulls from more horses so they have a mathematical advantage to have more better wrestlers, just like Illinois is a more populous state than IN and having a mathematical advantage to have more better wrestlers. I did not do a count of who has won more but I grew up on the border with some of my wrestling friends in Indiana so have noticed this event the last 10 years, and without a count I recall Indiana winning more. Everybody knows IL has the numbers to top them, but it depends on who shows. But just like 1A kids can beat 3A kids, Indiana kids can beat Illinois kids. For the reason that the Casino always wins over the long haul, the numbers matter. For the record, I prefer small schools to big schools - there are more opportunities...although my kids went to a giant school. I can't remember but I thought Indiana was a freestyle state, but that doesn't sound correct - did they used to be? I assume these matches are folkstyle either way.
