So what are the chances that the Midget Tournament is impacted in one way or another? Can't believe I'm even asking, but since NCAA aren't accepting fans and Indiana just had to move theirs to a glorified rec center, figured it would be worth it

We will cancel ONLY if shut down by government mandates

                State?

How is this a "state" tournament? Did wrestlers have to qualify?

Because my 9 year old says it is, is super excited about it and is unaware of crabby adults shitting on it on the internet

This is called a state tournament for parents. Then parents can share that their kid got 4th at state on Facebook. Your 9 year old is pumped because adults told him or her it was state. At least call it the Illinois Open. Please tell me, besides the entry fee, how this tournament that anyone can enter is different from any other. Good luck, I hope your kid can say he is a state champion when it is over. Then this summer you can go to Bloomington and wrestle in "Nationals" with 96% of the field being Illinois kids.

                            Midget is different bc:
                            A. 32 man brackets
                            B. It's seeded.
                            C. Kids have to make a weight
                            D. Full wrestlebacks

And he's excited bc he went as a 7 year old to cheer his buddies and toss glow sticks and wrestle in an arena.

At 7, he could recognize it is not a "normal" tournament and was pumped about it last year and even more so this year.

He wrestles at a lot of "fun" events....this is by far his favorite of the individual stuff
