In coordination with the Winnebago County Health Department and upon the advice of state health officials, the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation State Tournament for this weekend has been canceled. While the risk remains low in our region at this time, out of an abundance of caution for athletes, their families and the general public, it was determined that the tournament should be cancelled.
IKWF and the BMO Harris Bank Center sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to spectators, especially those who may have traveled a great distance to Rockford for the event.
This decision is in the best interests of public health. The safety of our athletes and our community remains our top priority as we navigate the challenges of this worldwide, rapidly evolving pandemic.

Time to change. Forget venues, use the schools that help the IKWF all year. Senior division in one school's field house, Novice in another. Make sure this doesn't happen again, because it will, and they'll act quicker next time.

What about when it snows and school closes? This has nothing to do with the venue. Look around at the whole country.

That was posted before everyone lost their minds, schools weren’t cancelling yet.. This will happen again, maybe not during the IK season but the powers that be have a new way to **** with people.

Don't tell anyone else what I'm about to tell you, but, I was told by someone deep within the establishment of IKWF that they were going to use the Coronavirus hoax as a reason to cancel the state tournament because they didn't want to give your kid a chance to compete.
They were afraid that you would beat the kid that they had instilled as #1.
Which he undoubtedly would have. I mean, come on..... Everyone knows that.

I heard they are awarding the the medals to the 1st 8 kids to arrive today at their respective weight class. Weigh ins/medals are at the IK Country Club hills location.
