With all of those qualifiers they only had 3 champs.
16’ MFVE had I think 8 or 9 state champs.
98’ Fox valley had I think also 8 or 9 state champs.
88’ Twisters, how many did they have?
12’ Twisters, how many did they have?

If they would of wrestled 1/4 of their staters, they win. If they would of wrestled all of their starters, it’s a blowout.
They had a lot of qualifiers that year but they were in a very weak sectional.

This is what I’m talking about

Here are the starters that did not wrestle in the Tinley dual.
70- Cody Tavaso
74- Matt Piniatowski
84- Diego Sotelo
89- Dean Hamiti
101- Zeke Marshall
108- Fabian Lopez
115- Noah Villarreal
122- Bryan Smith
the 2016 year, Johnson, Gillum, and Blades where not the starters. Now all 3 of them are beast. Probably from having that brutal practice room helped?
My hats off to Tinley, they took care of business!
Weak sectional? Any other sectional that they would of put MFVE that year would of been considered weak. Besides you should know that a team can’t control that. You can only wrestle whoever they put in front of you.

Every/any coach is capable of making a bad decision here and there, but to hold that many kids out of the championship dual seems foolhardy, to say the least.
