  • Oct. 7th, Border Wars Fall Hammer Classic Wrestling Tournament

Border Wars Fall Hammer Classic wrestling tournament will be held October 7th at North Central College in Naperville, IL. This is our 5th year hosting this tournament, and is a great preseason tournament for athletes to get quality matches before the season starts. The Fall Hammer Classic is also a qualifer for the Border Wars Folkstyle National Championship held October 27th and 28th. Please email me with any additional questions.

Flier and Information can be found here or at www.borderwarswrestling.com

    Hope to see you there!

Looking forward to this preseason tourney
Nice to have one in Illinois, beats driving to michigan or iowa
Last year had some great wrestlers
Do hope they are more organized than they were last year

Usually every tourney held at north central has very good competition but they are always unorganized and take way too long to. Finish

It always feels like its their first time hosting a tournament. No reason with 250 kids they can't have everyone out by 12:30 - 1:00PM

Question, Is this a Nuway Tournament or is Nuway tied into this at all?

Every tournament at north central has something to do with nuway. I don't know if that has anything to do with the tornies taking too long.

The Fall Hammer Classic starts at 9:30am and gets done at roughly 4pm each year. This tournament has ran smoothly over the last 4 years. We strive to provide athletes with quality competition. The tournament continues to grow each year and we encourage pre-registration to help us staff our tournament appropriately.

Last year we had approximately 325 athletes. This is a tournament that grows in size and popularity each year as it is a qualifier for Border Wars Folkstyle National Qualifier.

9:30-4 to run a 300 wrestler tournament is to long of a day. Teams in the IKWF run 900+ wrestler tournaments without preregistration and keep the kids in the building from 9-2:30

                    You can do Much better.

Great job by the North Central people who did a great job with the tourney this year. My son got 4 matches and we were home by 2 in time for the bears game.
