As for cutting weight, I highly doubt a 62 pounder cut 7 pounds unless they used their favorite scale. If by chance they did cut 7 pounds odds are that kid will be done wrestling in a few years.
I know for a fact it happened. I saw a kid wrestle 62.5 in mid February who made 55 for midget this year.

Midget cuts are the worst. There is no reason for it if everyone wrestled within a couple bs of their natural weight. Even in ihsa there is a hydration test. Ikwf has nothing. Itís crazy.

Where did the wrestler weigh in at? IHSA hydration test and system is manipulated to the maximum. There is a reason we see kids blow weight during the state series every year.

NO idea where the kid weighed in. I'm sure you can figure it out with a bit of research.
