Questions after state???

This may have been answered or mentioned but I didn't see Mark Hahn at all this weekend.

Did I miss something?

Having quarters on 6 mats?

Really was awful as a fan to watch to be honest.

Is Sandburg the best peaking at the right time team in the state?

Year in and year out they seem to always wrestle well at the state tournament.

I am not at all surprised with Sandburg's excellent performance. Coach Siebert is probably the best coach in the IHSA right now. Every single year he puts a team out there with the potential to be team state champs. One of the nicest coaches out there and he always acts in a very respectable manner, even when one of his wrestlers gets a bad call. That's someone I would want to coach my kids.

Really hard to follow all the great matches. There were so many great matches, I wish I could have focused on just 2 instead of 6.

This has been asked a couple times (in different ways of course) and I haven't seen it answered either. Any news?

Sandburg over the past 7-8 years has just always competed well at the State Tournament. They always have multiple place winners. Seems like most of their kids over achieve. Kudos to Coach Seibert and Polz. They got it rocking down in Orland Park.

It doesn't hurt to have a combination of top notch homegrown and move in talent every year either!

He rarely coaches at state, almost always has assistants do it.

I have been going to the State Tournament for 18 years, and I have always seen Coach Hahn coaching bouts. Does he let his assistants coach a lot, YES, BUT Coach Hahn has been in the chair every year. This year he did not coach one match!

Again I ask the question, is he getting Joe Gomez ready to take over???
