Looking at both line-ups...I give Team USA the edge.

Northwestern has 3 wrestling for the US Team

Plus, Coach Pariano is the guest speaker at the banquet. DD is always a great showcase for the best in the US and PA.

Just hope the Illinois kids are prepared? The timing (scheduling) aspect comes into play with a longer layoff for many USA wrestlers and a more recent (last weekend) Pennsylvania State Tournament. That, a home crowd (think they average over 5000) and refs can play a role. Illinois representatives, and they've had some real D1 type studs, were getting waxed pretty good until they utilized better preparation. Currently the locals are 16-11-2 in the classic.

Old dude is absolutely correct. You wouldn't want to think it does but Refs come into play and will give PA every advantage they can. IL as well as some other states with a 2 week layoff and PA just had their state tourney. In addition, I would question the weight and the allowances they're providing to their wrestlers. I counted 4 weight classes where PA is wrestling down a weight class vs where they were ranked all year and just wrestled in their own state tournament. Here's a quick breakdown/ comparison:
113: Rossi #4 going against #6 at 120!
120: Bosten #1 going against #8 at 126!
126: Micic #2 going against #3.
132: Alber #3 going against unranked but just won their 2A state.
138: McKenna #1 going against #7 at 145!
145: Berger #3 going against #1.
152: Brill #1 going against #4.
160: Blees #1 going against #2.
170: Nickal #2 going against #13 at 182!
182: Dixon #11 going against #3.
195: Ness #3 going against #10.
220: Snyder #1 gong against #8.
Hwy: Nevills #1 going against #2.

Looks like where team USA was going to have a clear advantage (113, 120, 138, 170) PA made it interesting by just giving them heavier kids to wrestle. Should make for one heck of an exciting event. Go Team USA and IL!

Movement up or down, okay, but make the specified weight and any additional allowance strictly enforced. It has been rumored that in matchups like this, with no real championship at play, weight and size discrepencies are very apparent.

Congrats to Team USA 25 vs PA All Stars 16. Brill wins (5-1) and Alber wins (3-2)!Anyone know why Rossi did not wrestle? Could have been 3 for 3 for IL. Great job!

@Brian_Rossi1: due to a poorly timed concussion, I withdrew from The Dapper Dan. Even though I'm disappointed, I believe its the right decision #GoTeamUSA

Good decision, do not want to mess with any concussion. Does anyone know how the kid is doing or how serious it was?
