MOST Anticipated Matches EVER...IHSA

Dake/Taylor #1 tonight, most anticipated/biggest college match in decades---what would the Illinois equivalent be, a match that actually happened?! Here are a few starters that are etched in my memory forever...

Tony Davis vs Reggie Wright/Joey Gilbert vs Ryan Schafer/Mikey B . vs Blanton

...take is from here guys! Even though DT is the man, Dake will win!

i am going with Taylor

His Hs coach Jordan, his college coach Cael Sanderson and Taylor, all have been working and waiting for this match. With that brain trust, and the fact Taylor wrestles Ed Ruth a lot, I am going with Taylor.... The fact Molinari has wrestled both also I am sure will help Taylor a lot and let him in on a few things Dake does well. Which are a lot ...

I am just surprised and kind of proud of both of these guys for having the guts to take on this match .

A kind of no win for the loser. A big win win for the winner.

Why I love wrestling, in most sports this wouldnt happen....

I think the most anticipated match that didn't happen is Gilbert vs. Bormet!

I understand what you're saying, and I am just as excited about the match and don't really care who wins, but...Kyle Dake trained this past summer with Jordan Burroughs and Jake Herbert. I'm sure he'll be just as ready, if not more so.

Is the match televised anywhere? I highly doubt it, but i guess i am just a wishful thinker.

The 2 that stuck out the most to me in past years are:

Davis VS Wright and Blanton VS Spangler

I remember a lot of hype surrounding those 2 matches and all eyes in assembly hall being on their mat.

It is cool how that the big space ship we call Assembly Hall is for those matches. I don't think there is another event ever held there where there are moments during a match you can hear someone sneeze and then others when not being able to hear anything! kinda like golf or something. Great sport, great venue!

It is available live on flowrestling.org. You have to be a member of TechniqueWave to see it though.

$20 for a one month subscription gets you the All-Star dual, some nice technique, and they're also going to start posting more indepth college coverages.

Seems worth it to me.

Morrison vs. Ramos...I know it's recent, but that one was super-hyped.
