I like how this year has open and elite. Gives people w/ less years experience or maybe not at state caliber level, still the opportunity to be in an open tourney. Good luck to everyone

3 tournaments this weekend that stickout are joe tholl, walt gerber, and stillman valley. I seen last week that force ran an open age elite division. Is this something more tournaments will be adding. I like the idea. Hope to see more tournaments give that option.

Much to the aggravation of a few people here, my little guy is wrestling at Christmas Sparty for individual and dual team tournament. It looks like 'Illinois Gold' is going to be there as well (whomever is on that, he isn't). He's very excited for this weekend.

Cougar classic is a good tournament. Been there a couple times. This year going to grinch grappler. Believe this is their 1st year hosting it. Nice way to kick off Christmas break w/ grinch grappler this week, rockford and Naperville next week, then bolingbrook just before kids return to school.

Cougar Classic was good. Lots of tough kids with the cool Thor hammers as trophies. Wish they would’ve gone round robin instead of straight brackets with the tots and bantams.

Naperville runs a terrific tournament. Always done early considering the number of kids. 1 of the best tournaments for competition, runs smooth, and plenty of space. 12/30
